Inside Third Grade
December 21-23, 2015
Teachers’ Corner:
Thank you very much to those of you who were able and willing to donate some
snacks and/or tissues. We are still in need of both, and are eagerly accepting these
donations.
We want to take a few minutes to wish you a wonderful Winter Break with your
families. We enjoy having the opportunity to work with your students this year, and are
thankful that you are sharing them with us.
If you are looking for ways to focus your child’s energy over break, remember that all
of our students have access to their Google Chrome accounts, including the reading and
math resources and games on their Google Classroom accounts. Direct your child to
www.google.com, and have him/her log into his/her account using the login and
password used in class on their Chromebooks. We will be continuing to work on our
Technology Change research projects in January. Ask you child what topic he/she chose
and what they have learned so far. Questions we are reading/viewing videos to answer
include:
-Who invented the original technology? When was it invented?
-What did the original technology look like? How did it work?
-Why was the original technology invented? What purpose did it serve or what need did
it help to meet?
-How has the technology changed over time? What does it look like now? What does it
do now that it didn’t do before? Why did it change?
-How does the new technology work?
Thanks again for all of your help and support! We’ll see you in January!
