Teachers’ Corner:
This week ends the first marking period. It’s hard to believe that
we have already spent a full marking period together! Looking back,
what went well for your child this marking period? Do you have any
questions or concerns about how your child is performing compared
to the benchmark grade level standards that are described in each
week’s newsletter? This is a great time to start jotting down
questions you have since Parent Conferences are right around the
corner, some as early as next week!
On a side note, we are recommending that students continue to
come in layers. While the heat has been turned on in our
classrooms, it’s ALWAYS advisable to have an extra layer handy “just
in case.” On these cool-morning days where temps rise into the mid
to upper 60s, we recommend short sleeves for the classroom, with a
layer of a sweater/sweatshirt and/or a light jacket for the crisp
morning air.
