Teachers’ Corner:
The students have had the opportunity by now to
log on to their Chromebooks to access their Google
Drive, locate a website or app for instructional
purposes, and in most cases, complete their Fall MAPR assessment. Take a minute to ask your child his or
her login and password. They don’t know it?
Encourage them to write it down inside their planner
so that they can access these features from
computers outside of school. Please remind your
child that with these new tools comes responsibility.
These MCPS created accounts are only for learning,
and should not be used without adult supervision.
Assigned websites and apps are specifically chosen for
to further the Grade 3 Instructional Program. For this
reason, we do not utilize gmail or “blind search”
topics. Thanks for your help as we teach “netiquette”
to our young scholars in this digital age.
We look forward to seeing you tonight at our Back
to School Night. We plan to share information with
you about our instructional program in Grade 3, our
planned field trip.
Things to Ask Your Child:





Who is one of the characters you have read about
in class this year? What character trait have they
demonstrated? What trait have you shown this
year?
How did you show respect, responsibility, or
readiness to learn today? What is one area in
which you could improve tomorrow?
How do you know when to compose a ten or
hundred?
How do you know if you should round to the
nearest ten or hundred if it is NOT in the
directions?
What homework do you have tonight? How do
you know when an assignment is due? Please
show me.
