Broadcast FAX DATE: March 16, 2015 TO: MnVFC providers using the replacement method FROM: MnVFC program RE: Dose-level eligibility requirements Please route to: Clinical supervisor Medical director Clinic manager Clinic staff Pharmacy Vaccine staff Beginning August 1, 2015 clinics that practice the replacement method of vaccine management will be required to submit dose-level eligibility to MIIC for all vaccines administered to patients that are 18 years of age or younger. Two options to meet the requirement: 1. Electronically upload dose-level eligibility information into MIIC. Talk with your electronic health record (EHR) staff and discuss how your clinic will be able to submit dose-level eligibility information to MIIC. You’ll want to start having those conversations soon. For technical information about dose-level eligibility specifications visit: www.health.state.mn.us/divs/idepc/immunize/registry/hp/reportdose.pdf. OR 2. Manually enter dose-level eligibility information into MIIC. Learn about manual entry of dose-level eligibility by reading the Oct. 7, 2014 MnVFC announcement (www.health.state.mn.us/divs/idepc/immunize/mnvfc/bf7oct14.pdf). Train your staff to enter dose-level eligibility in MIIC. If your clinic does not begin submitting dose-level eligibility information to MIIC by Aug. 1, 2015, you will need to switch to the separate stock method of vaccine management.
