Announcement Date: November 19, 2015 To: MnVFC Providers From: MnVFC Program Re: Shipment Confirmation Email Please route to: • Clinical supervisor • Medical director • Clinic manager • Clinic staff • Pharmacy • Vaccine staff The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Immunization Program is excited to announce a new feature in MIIC vaccine ordering – a shipment confirmation email that will let providers know when your order has shipped. A shipment confirmation email will automatically be sent to the email address included on your order. The email will list all vaccines from your most recent order and their shipping status(es). It will also include information on the shipping carrier and the tracking number. You will receive one email per shipment if your order is broken into separate shipments. This email is meant to help providers in their preparation for vaccine deliveries. It is still important that your staff is prepared to receive and properly store ordered vaccine at any point after the vaccine has been ordered in case there are issues with the timeliness of shipping data provided to MDH or emails getting blocked. For information on storing vaccine, you may refer to CDC’s Vaccine Storage and Handling Toolkit (http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/recs/storage/toolkit), pp. 37-44, or your MnVFC Policies and Procedures manual. If you have questions, please contact the MnVFC Program at [email protected] or 651-201-5522. Immunization Program 651-201-5522, 800-657-3970 www.health.state.mn.us/vfc
