Support Class of 2016 After-Prom!
Dear Parents of the Class of 2016,
It’s hard to believe our kids will graduate in just a few short months. Their Prom is even
closer with the big night planned for Friday, May 6, 2016 and After Prom begins at
12:30am, Saturday, May 7. Today, you can help ensure that the BCC HS After-Prom is a
safe and memorable event for our seniors.
Recent studies show 23% of teens admit driving under the influence of alcohol,
marijuana or other drugs. Let’s be sure our kids aren’t statistics. BCC HS AfterProm activities provide a drug- & alcohol-free alternative to dangerous house parties.
For the Class of 2016, we have a special night planned on the Odyssey cruise ship that will
float down the Potomac under the stars from 12:30 pm to 4 am. We’ll provide chaperones,
security, buses to and from the dock plus shipboard carnival activities, a DJ, entertainment,
prizes, great food, and memorable views of Washington DC’s fabulous monuments.
Parent contributors are needed to make this a one-of-a-kind evening. The purpose of
After-Prom 2016 is to ensure our seniors arrive home safely on prom night!
After-Prom is FREE to seniors and their dates thanks to parent contributions and business
sponsorships. We count on the generosity of senior parents and the BCC HS community
to support this important event. Here’s how you can help:
1) Encourage Your Senior to Attend After-Prom
Our school system has seen tragic outcomes from house parties this year.
Please don’t host or allow your senior to host a house party. After-Prom is safer!
2) Donate to After-Prom 2016 Today!

$50 is the recommended donation, but ALL contributions will help. More
generous donations help support students whose families cannot contribute.
