NOTES:
Students not testing should report to the main gym in the morning.
Attendance Policy during H.S.A./PARCC:
Students required to participate in the H.S.A/PARC testing must arrive on time to school and report
directly to their testing location.
Students who are not taking an assessment or a Senior Final Exam may report to school at 11:15 for
lunch or no later than 12:00 for their afternoon classes, but they must arrange their own transportation. A
study hall is provided in the main gym for any student that has to be in the building but is not taking an
exam.
Make-up Senior Exams
All make-up exams must be scheduled with the student’s teacher prior to the make-up time.
Students with an excused absence must, except in very extreme circumstances, contact teachers on the
day of the scheduled exam, if not beforehand, to schedule a make-up.
Students with an unexcused absence on the date and time of the original exam may not be permitted to
make-up any exam without the permission of the teacher.
Student may not drop-in to make-up missed exams without making arrangements prior to the make-up
window.
Transportation during H.S.A/PARCC/Senior Exams:
MCPS buses run at the normal morning and afternoon times during the assessment period, so students
who choose to arrive late or leave early because they don't have a scheduled exam or assessment must
provide their own transportation. Students who are in the building during exam times but not taking an
exam must go to the main gym for a study hall.
