I hereby apply for exemption from the public service internship requirement of the MPA
degree. I have at least one year of significant governmental, nonprofit or healthcare
administration professional experience.
ATTACHED are all of the following:
(1) Documentation of the work that will qualify me for exemption from the MPA internship
including:
a. A MINIMUM 10-page paper identifying how my job relates to the core courses of
the MPA degree (and if desired in addition, relevant elective courses)
b. Examples of forms, projects, and programs that I have directly or indirectly
worked on in my agency or organization.
(2) A current résumé and the job description for the position held which is being used to
justify my consideration for exemption from the internship requirement.
