About Entrance Test of GCET - 2009

GCET – 2009 is computer based test which will be taken on the intranet of the test centre.
Test will be taken at 20 different centers across the state between 1st July to 5th July, 2009 .
Every day there will be three different sessions at each centre.
1st batch will start at 9.00 am, second batch at 1.00 pm and third at 5.00 pm.
Students will be given choice for the city of the test centre.
Best efforts will be made to allocate choice as per the preference of the student.
Exam Hall tickets will be issued online from 28th June and student has to take a print of the same before
going to test centre.
Without valid Exam Hall ticket and any one of the following document in original, no student will be
allowed to take a test at test centre.
1. Driving License
2. Passport
3. Voter’s Card issued by election commission.
4. Photo I-Card issued by last institute attended.
5. Income Tax PAN card.
The Test will include questions on English language skills, Quantitative aptitude, Analytical reasoning
and General Knowledge questions.
All the above aspects will follow the pattern of CAT, MAT, GMAT, GRE etc.
The Entrance Test will contain 150 multiple choice questions and the duration of the test is 2 hours.
Number of questions from different sections will be as per following for MBA.
1. 40 questions from English Language skill.
2. 50 questions from Quantitative aptitude.
3. 30 questions from Analytic and logical reasoning
4. 30 General knowledge questions.
For MCA the structure will be as per following.
1. 40 questions from English Language skill.
2. 65 questions from Quantitative aptitude.
3. 45 questions from Analytic and logical reasoning
These questions will be arranged randomly.
The weightage is four marks for correct answer and negative one mark for wrong answer.
Student will immediately get the score at the end of the test.
Candidates seeking admission for MBA and MCA both courses will have to take only one test of
180 questions of 150 minutes. Those questions will be 15 additional from Quantitative aptitude
and another 15 from Analytic and Logical reasoning over and above MBA questions.
