Conversion of Number of Subscribers to Employer Group Size

Instructions: If a carrier is unable to identify the size of a particular group, please use the below
crosswalk to estimate employer groups with 51 to 100 employees by calculating the number of
subscribers within a specific health insurance plan at the plan’s renewal date. This crosswalk was
developed using MN-specific take-up estimates among employees working at private firms from the
Medical Expenditure Panel Survey Insurance Component (MEPS-IC) administered by the Agency for
Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
