Theme Unit Parent Letter

Dear Parents,
We will learn a lot about fruits and vegetables this week by
seeing, smelling, hearing, touching and tasting them! There will be
a fun Lana the Iguana story where her friends think she knows
magic because she knows what is cooking without even seeing it!
We will also try to recognize different fruits and vegetables by
using all our senses.
The playdough might smell like oranges this week and we might
bring home some 'scratch and sniff' art. You might want to try our
science experiment at home. What happens when you put
strawberries in jello? What happens when you make jello with kiwi
in it?
See if your child can make sense of this riddle:
I know that when we eat our lunch
Carrots make a big loud crunch.
My ears tell me my friends are cheering
Because I use my sense of ___________.
Sincerely,
