Invite your child to wash their hands and join you in
preparing the sweet potato.

Wash the sweet potato to remove any dirt. Dry with
a paper towel and prick the potato a few times with
a fork.

for 10 minutes. Remove from microwave. To make
sure the potato is done, insert a fork in the center
of the potato. The fork should go in and out easily
and the potato should feel tender. If not, heat for
2 minutes longer and test again.
