Team Tasting Challenge
Overview
The team tasting challenge is a fun event designed to acquaint parents with the LANA
Preschool Program classroom activities. Preschool children will be invited to take their
parents around to tasting stations and try some of the fruits and vegetables featured in
the LANA Preschool Program. The Team Tasting Challenge will generally be scheduled
during pick-up time at the end of the day (ex. 4:30 – 6:00 p.m.).

Sign-in sheet
Stickers
A display board for each room with information about the program and examples
of some of the printed materials such as the LANA stories, the cookbook pages,
Parents Talk… etc.
Parent tip sheet with ideas for how parents can help encourage fruits and
vegetables at home
Small paper cups for samples
Food for tasting (red peppers, sugar snap peas, kiwi and apricots)
Napkins
Staff to set-up and assist with the event
How it works
The child will be the tour guide and lead their parent(s) around to the tasting stations.
Everyone will get a sticker for trying each of the fruits and vegetables.
Each family will receive information about the LANA Preschool Program and a tip sheet
on promoting fruits and vegetables at home.
