Product Bulletin Cisco Unified Presence 6.0 Off New Product Hold ® Cisco is pleased to announce that Cisco Unified Presence 6.0 has been removed from newproduct-hold (NPH) status and is now generally available. Besides, removing new-product- hold, Cisco Unified Presence now supports interoperability with Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) 2007 in addition to Microsoft Live Communications Server (LCS) (see below for new verifications supported by Cisco Unified Presence 6.0(2)) . You can order Cisco Unified Presence 6.0 using the Ordering Tool at Cisco.com. To ensure deployment success, please review the Cisco Unified Presence Compatibility Matrices to verify interoperability of Cisco Unified Presence with other Cisco products that you have deployed. Physical media for Cisco Unified Presence 6.0(2) can be obtained from the Ordering Tool at Cisco.com. Customers with Cisco Unified Communications Software Subscription maintenance contracts for Cisco Unified Presence 1.0 can obtain free upgrade media for Cisco Unified Presence 6.0(2) from the Product Upgrade Tool. Customers can upgrade from 6.0(1) to the latest maintenance release, 6.0(2), by visiting the Cisco Unified Presence Download Center. In addition to Cisco Unified Presence 6.0 being removed from new-product-hold status, the following new verifications were performed with Cisco Unified Presence 6.0(2): ● Interoperability with Microsoft OCS 2007 for click-to-dial and phone-control services with Cisco IP phones in conjunction with Cisco Unified Communications Manager. Note: Cisco Unified Presence 1.0(3) and later have been verified with Microsoft LCS for click-to-dial and phone-control services with Cisco IP phones in conjunction with Cisco Unified Communications Manager. ● Integration with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 to obtain calendaring information as part of the Rich Presence provided in Cisco Unified Presence 6.0 ● Support for VMWare usage of Cisco Unified Presence for lab, demo, and application development activities ● Support for HP and IBM bare metal servers that have consistent criteria with the Cisco media convergence servers (MCSs) supported for Cisco Unified Presence All contents are Copyright © 1992–2007 Cisco Systems, Inc.
