rapid electronic publication of select Science papers in advance of print.
§ Research papers appearing in First Release are from all fields of science.
The main criteria for selection are the timeliness and importance of
the research.
PUBLICATION FEATURES
§ First Release delivers peer-reviewed research as much as four to six weeks
before publication in the regularly weekly edition of Science.
§ Our editors select several articles each week for advance online
publication. Papers are published within two weeks of acceptance.
§ First Release papers are considered to be published on the day they are
posted, and are citable from that date.
