Mathematically Speaking….
The students will be working on solving division
problems using array models, area models, and place
value reasoning. Students will also begin working
with fractions (add, subtract, and multiply). They will
use visual models as a strategy. They will also
continue using the standard algorithm to multiply
multi-digit whole numbers. Check it out at:

In Science we have
discussed Newton’s Laws
of Motion. We are
researching and applying
that knowledge in our
quest to design a
proposal that outlines the
most efficient energy
sources for an
Amusement Park ride.
In Social Studies we are studying the
concept of “conflict vs.
compromise”…We are re-visiting the
formation of the 13 colonies and how
issues and concerns of the colonists led
to the causes of the “Revolution”
Hello! I hope everyone has had a wonderful start to this school year.
