Explanation of Fees
Maintenance Fee:
An enrollment or registration fee calculated based on the number
of credit hours for which the student enrolls.
Out-of-State-Tuition:
A fee charged to students classified as non-residents of the state of
Tennessee who are enrolled for credit courses, including audit
courses. This fee is in addition to the maintenance fee.
Program and Service Fee: A fee assessed for the following fees at an hourly rate: Campus
access, technology access, student activity, athletics, graduation,
international education, debt service, postal service, student
government and health service.
Orientation Fee:
A one-time fee charged to a first-time student enrolled for twelve
(12) or more hours for credit in a semester (or six (6) credit hours
if first enrollment occurs in a summer term) or enrolled with an
accumulation of 36 semester hours if the student has never been
assessed the fee.
International Student Fee: This fee is charged to students classified as International who are
enrolled for credit courses, including audit courses.
