How to get to the databases:
1. Enter library main page by going to tnstate.edu and running your cursor over “Academics”
heading. Click on Libraries an Media.
2. Take your cursor to Databases and click it. (If off-campus, you may need to log on externally.
You can click on “off campus help.”
3. You have choices here. If you know the name of your database, then you can click “Search by
Title.” If you know the general subject of what you are researching, then you should take the
“Search by Subject” route. Let’s move forward as if we know the name: Academic Search
Premier. To get there, we click “Search by title.”
4. Choose the appropriate database, and then you are in!
5. Type Keywords into the search engine to launch your search, and then you are on your way!
