May in Kindergarten
May is a busy month in Kindergarten!
In social studies, we will discuss communication, family and cultural heritage and
adaptation. In science, we will learn about the variety of habitats for plants and
animals. In language arts, we will continue to review the words on our Word Wall,
recognize endings to words and write factual information about animals/plants. In
math, we will use objects to model simple sums/differences, estimate quantities,
and solve story problems.

We will keep reading and writing daily. Please have your child read the books that are sent home from reading group and
practice Word Wall words to help improve writing skills. Thank you for your partnership in education.
