Dear Center Parents,
We are pleased to welcome parents tomorrow to our annual, school-wide Arts Integration Open House. In Marking Period 3, our
curriculum focus is immigration, which our students are exploring through reading, writing, visual arts, and performing arts (tableau and
readers’ theater). Students have begun researching immigration from the country of their novels by analyzing information from their novels and
selected print and digital sources. They are discovering the push and pull factors that influenced immigrants’ decision to leave their home
country and journey to America. Soon students will be researching what it was like to arrive and settle in America. Stay tuned for information
about how they will present what they have learned to peers and invited guests!
