Schools mechanical systems are very different from residential systems. The school’s mechanical system provides heating, cooling, and ventilation to the entire building. Twice a year, this system must be shut down for the seasonal changeover, which usually takes a couple of days. Most importantly, after the changeover has occurred, the building will not have heat available.
