We also identified similarities and differences between the two texts. We used strategies to add and subtract within 20. We also identified and record related addition and subtraction equations. For example– Using the numbers 2, 3, 5 2+3=5 5-2=3 3+2=5 5-3=2 Writing Science We continued to write down new facts learned about Yellowstone. We identified various building objects on the playground and the materials from which each is made. We read The Three Little Pigs and discussed the properties of the materials they used to build their houses. We also shared our opinion about the best material to use to build a house. Social Studies We described how people modify the environment to meet their changing needs for shelter. We also described why people protect the environment.
