Reading
Math
We identified the main topic and key
details in The World of Bread. We also
read My Neighborhood.
We used sentence-level context as a clue
to the meaning
We added three whole numbers whose sum is
less than 20 by recording equations for
3-car trains that equal 10. We also used a
math center called “Make 12” to make equations with three addends to make a total of 12.
Writing
Science
We finished up our sequenced event writing
about living in a snow globe!
We are using our homework assignment to
write about events from our past. With complete sentences we are describing people,
places, and things in our writings..
We identified objects as magnetic or nonmagnetic based on their behavior in the
presence of a magnet.
We also described how a variety of magnets affect the strength of a magnet.
Social Studies
We examined photographs of the past and
compared them to current photographs of
similar images.
