First Grade Happenings
November 20, 2015
Reading
Math
We read a few books written and
illustrated by Ezra Jack Keats.
We focused on describing the characters,
settings, and events in a story
using key details.
We described and represented a strategy for
solving various story problems.
We wrote equations and drew a picture to
model our work.
Writing
Science
We continued to write informative texts
about a given topic. We began to discuss
the traditions our family has
for Thanksgiving.
We compared objects based on the way
they move.
Social Studies
No Newsletter will be provided
next week as we are wrapping up a
few things from the
previous weeks.
We discussed traditions.
We used our homework assignment to help
us describe our Thanksgiving Traditions.
We described the movement of
the objects.
