First Grade Happenings
October 2, 2015
Reading
Math
We read The King of The Frogs. We asked
and answered questions about key details.
This week we continued to represent and
compare 2-digit numbers based on the
meanings of the tens and ones digits.
We also continued to identify numbers as
ten more and ten less than a given number,
We also read Red Riding Hood and
described the characters in the story.
Writing
Science
We wrote informative texts about
different leaders after researching.
We gathered information about animals
basic needs and how they use different
body parts to seek, find, and take in food.
We described the actions of the leaders
that keep us safe, maintain order,
and enforce rules.
Social Studies
Other
We recognized leadership positions
in the community.
