Art Eubanks, an internationally known accomplished multimedia artist, works will be on display at Brown Daniel and Avon
Williams Libraries, May 1-June 30, 2016. His favorite media were painting and photography. A product of the Nashville
Public School System, Eubanks graduated from Cameron High School.
Eubanks earned a degree in Art Education from Tennessee State University where he discovered his artistic talent. Gregory
Ridley, a world renowned art educator and professor at TSU and Fisk is credited for Eubank’s creative talent and zest for
expression. He taught and studied in various European, Caribbean, and African countries; taught under the Ministry of
Education in Jamaica and conducted numerous workshops throughout the Caribbean.
Many commissioned paintings of Eubanks can be found in numerous public institutions in the USA and abroad. The
Atlantic Public Schools are reflected in the theme, “Children of the World.” The Tennessee High Museum of Art Exhibit is
credited for launching his career in art. Eubanks’ works are found in many public and private collections throughout the
world.
Artist Statement
“Art is the sum of life and life is the direct result of divine artistry. Multi-media is essential in describing that artistry which
stimulates my creativity. My art is a composite of at least three different mediums utilizing various techniques. I’m disciplined in
painting, sculpture and still photography. This allows me the freedom to integrate different mediums, which reflect my ethnic
artistic visions. These art visions are my experiences as a world traveler, my life as an art educator, and my spiritual growth.
