Parent Tips
 Volunteer in your child’s school if your schedule permits. Schools often
send home lists of ways parents can get involved.
 Be a chaperone for a school trip, work on a school committee, or
help out in the classroom, lunchroom, or playground.
 Make phone calls to let other parents know about school-related
activities.
Whatever it Takes!
A Message from the Sargent Shriver Staff
As the year 2015 comes to an end, the staff at Sargent Shriver Elementary School would like to take
this opportunity to thank you for your support and wish you a happy and relaxing winter vacation
with your families and friends. We hope your winter vacation is full of good times that build lasting
memories. We also want to thank you for supporting our daily efforts to provide our students a
quality, rigorous education in nurturing learning environments.
In addition, we want to thank our parent volunteers and other family members within our school community who donate
their time to help our students and staff. We look forward to the year 2016 and the many opportunities it will bring that will
