Greetings Sargent Shriver Families,
We have about 7 weeks of school left before summer vacation. There is still a lot to learn and do!
The staff at Sargent Shriver Elementary School is proud of our students’ commitment to learning
throughout the school year and would like to end the school year celebrating their
accomplishments. Please speak to your children about keeping up their dedication to learning.
May is a testing month at Sargent Shriver Elementary School. Students in kindergarten through 5th
grade will take reading and math assessments to determine how much they learned since last
August. The students, their teachers, and you have worked hard to help them to learn and do their
best in school. We want to celebrate and take pride in our students’ growth!
May is PTA Staff Appreciation Month. The best way to honor your children’s teachers is with
a written note. Please consider sharing your thoughts about how your children’s teachers have
impacted their lives throughout the school year.
While our PTA is recognizing and showing their appreciation for the Sargent Shriver Elementary
School staff during the month of May, I would also like to honor our PTA leadership and all the
adults and middle and high school students who have donated their time and talents to Sargent
Shriver Elementary School. Your efforts make a huge difference in the lives of students because
you helped us build a nurturing school community. Thank you!
