Welcome Back
Dear Parents,
Happy New Year! We look forward to seeing your children on
January 5th.
New to Beverly Farms/MCPS
If you recently enrolled a child (ren), welcome to Beverly Farms!
If you are not familiar with how to find out about school delays
and closings please refer to the second page of this newsletter for
more details.
Weather
Please send your child to school “dressed for the weather”.
Classes go out for both “Brain Break” and recess. Additionally,
there may be times we have to exit the building unexpectedly (i.e.
if the fire alarm sounds) and we cannot go back inside until
cleared to do so.

questions.
Traffic Safety
As always, we appreciate everyone’s patience during car rider

Did you know. . .
The school does not get special “advance
notice” about weather delays and closings?
Sign up for alerts and listen to radio and
television. Please refer to the list above to
get this information. [This keeps our
school’s phone lines open to handle other
issues.] Thank you.
Are there After School Activities if the
weather causes an early dismissal?
In most cases after school activities are cancelled.
This information is usually included in the MCPS early
dismissal notification to parents and schools. If it’s
not, contact the Interagency Control Board (ICB). The
agency rents the school building and is in charge of
cancelling activities.
