Babe Ruth’s Accomplishment
Babe Ruth loved playing as baseball as a kid. He was his school’s best hitter.
In 1914 the Baltimore Orioles noticed his talent and hired him. In 1919 he hit 29
home runs and then in 1920 he crushed 54 home runs. He broke his own record
in 1921 and hit 59 home runs. He broke his record AGAIN in 1927 and
he smashed 60 home runs. That’s how Babe Ruth showed effort, motivation, and
persistence to achieve his goal of becoming one of the best home run hitters.

Babe Ruth and Me
Babe Ruth and I have both worked hard to achieve our goals. Babe Ruth worked
hard to achieve his goal of becoming a great baseball player. I have worked hard
to achieve my goal of finishing a difficult math assignment.

My Accomplishment
I accomplished the goal of finishing a difficult math assignment. First I got my
math assignment and when I got home I couldn’t figure out the math equation
answer. I asked my mom and dad but they were no help. I asked my sister she
said I don’t know? I had to do mental math for a while. It took one hour. Finally I
figured it out and wrote it down and explained how I got my answer.
I didn’t have to use any help but I had to do lots of math like subtraction,
addition and multiplication but I didn’t have to use division. I did not know
division. I had to use effort because the math was hard when I was doing it in my
head. I was motivated because it was my homework and I wanted to finish it so I
could do other stuff. I was persistent because I didn’t want to give up. If I did
give up I would have not have finished it and I would have to turn it in blank.
That’s how I reached my goal of finishing a difficult math equation.
