Bullying
1. We listen to each other.
What is bullying?
Bullying is the consistent behavior of a person over time
that either physically or emotionally hurts another individual.
2. Hands are for helping, not for hurting.
3. We use I-Care language
4. We care about each other’s feelings.
5. We are responsible for what we say and do.
What are the roles in a bullying situation?
1. Bully
2. Victim
3. Bystander

What Can Parents Do If Their Child is Being Bullied?
Listen to what he/she has to say
5. Get adult help
Ask questions
Encourage your child to talk to an adult at school
Ask how often the situation has occurred and what your
child did about it

Keep a record of dates/times of what has happened
(Say the person’s name), I feel (state the feeling)
when you (tell what the person has done).
