Expert Opinion About GTU’S Research Week For Faculty of Pharmacy

Dr. Bhavesh Barot(Lecturer, K.B.Institute of Pharmacy):
GTU research week is an excellent initiative. Students from different collages presented their research
work and came with novel ideas. It updates the knowledge of both students and examiner by healthy
interaction. Work of the students is good but they need improvement at certain level.
Suggestions: GTU should encourage students to publish at least one research paper from the project.
Either GTu should make it compulsion for the students.
Dr. Atmaram Pawar(Professor & Head, Poona collage of Pharmacy):
Students work was good but can be improvement by orienting them to basic principles. Students need to
be more logical & Rational for selection of topic.
Suggestions: Group Discussion or literature or journal club like events should be held to introduce the
syllabus.
Dr. Mayur Patel(Assistant Professor , Institute of Pharmacy)
The GTU research week was very well organized & managed by the university. It provides a platform to
many professionals of different college to interact & share their views & ideas. Pertaining to research in
the field to pharmacy. Work of students is quite good.
Suggestions: University should provide subscription for journals of high impact factor.
Dr. Renuka Mishra (Assistant Professor , Institute of Pharmacy , Nirma University):
Overall performance was good. Further improvement may be done. Some research projects are
interesting and novel. These projects can be awarded best projects after a selection process. One student
gave the presentation on no 8009 on high performance biopolymer based local delivery system of
antimicrobial agents for treatment of periodontal diseases.
Suggestions: Motivate the students & give information about patent filing

Brief News:-Total :179 Students of MPharmaSem-IV and 2 Students of Ph.D.(Batch-2011) were
reviewed by the experts. Three experts talk were held on various innovative topics of Pharmacy on
