This is to inform to you that the University (www.gtu.ac.in) is going to organize a work Shop on A-View(
Amrita-Virtual Interactive E-Learning World) jointly with Amrita University as per the following schedule.
07-12-2012 :- All BE/BPharm Colleges
08-12-2012 :- All Diploma, M.Pharm, ME, D.Pharm, Hotel Management Colleges
09-12-2012 :- All MBA, MCA Colleges.
Time duration :- 10 am to 6 pm.

The University shall reimburse travelling expenses on production of the tickets of the A-View coordinators of College. A college may send upto two persons. However the University will reimburse
travelling expenses for only one person who is nominated as A-View co-ordinator of the College.
To nominate A-View co-ordinator the institute has to follow following procedure:1) Login in GTU Inward (http://14.139.122.69:8099/gtuinward )
2) Click on “About Inst” on tab
3) Click on last link on the page titled as “A-View Registration”
Last date of nomination and registration for the workshop is 03-12-2012(Monday) by 5 pm.
The main objective of this work shop is to get acquainted the faculty for use of the software in their
teaching-learning process ( Live On-Line Lectures through A-View).
All the Principals/Directors/Heads are requested for making necessary arrangements for 100%
participation for the said workshop.

A-VIEW Workshop at Gujarat Technoligical University
Amrita University shall be conducting a three day onsite workshop on A-VIEW (Amrita Virtual Interactive
E-Learning World) – a versatile e-learning tool by Amrita E-Learning Research Lab at Gujarat
Technoligical University on 7th (All BE/BPharm Colleges) ,8th (All Diploma, M.Pharm, ME,
D.Pharm, Hotel Management) &9th (All MBA, MCA Colleges) December 2012 .
About A-VIEW
A-VIEW is an interactive multimedia e-learning platform used for conducting large live distance
education classes by enabling teachers to reach out to multiple remote classes using the internet. This
software was used to train 10,000 teachers from all over India digitally in July 2012 in collaboration with
IIT Bombay.
A-VIEW is available free of cost to all higher educational institutions and is currently deployed at more
than 1500 higher educational institutions across India. A-VIEW shall be deployed at most universities
and colleges by the end of next year.
In 2011, A-VIEW won the jury award for the Best Innovation in Open and Distance Learning under Higher
Education category in the World Education Summit held at New Delhi. In June 2012, the Computer
World Magazine (USA) recognized Amrita E-Learning Research Lab with Computer World Honors
Laureate 2012 for developing A-VIEW under the Training and Education category. A-VIEW also received
the educational excellence award in the field of educational technology at the Indo-Global educational
summit held at Hyderabad in September 2012.
Workshop
The workshop is intended to provide participants the required knowledge and skill that will enable
them to use A-VIEW proficiently. Seats are limited for the workshops and the registration is based on
first come first serve basis at www.aview.in/workshop-registration. Travel charges ,incidentals and
accommodation charges ( for participants travelling from outstation)are reimbursable against
submission of bills.
The A-VIEW workshop shall be conducted by experts from Amrita E-Learning Research lab. All
participants shall be provided certificates on completion of the workshop.
