Meeting was started with the permission of the chair at 12.30 p.m. in the Principal’s conference
chamber. The agenda of the meeting was:
To discuss road map for the final year students of GTU 2011-12 of all branches regarding industrial SODH
YATRA during summer vacation May, June 2011 and Industrial Project during 7th and 8th semester of the
Academic year 2011-12.

Industrial Project is 4/8/12 credits subject in 7th and 8th Semester respectively.
Project taken in 7th semester can be extended in 8th semester.
One Project can be taken in a group of 6 students or as per project requirement.
Branches like Mechanical & Production, Computer & IT, and Electronics & ET can be merged for
Industrial Project work.
Detailed Guidelines and definition of Industrial defined Project (IDP) is desired.
At initial stage teachers will join the group of students for Shodh Yatra, and will monitor
students in the Industry during the semester (twice or thrice in a semester).
All head of depts. are requested to check GTU site on daily basis
A teachers’ Orientation Program and brainstorming session to guide industrial project should be
arranged before 23 May 2011 at department level.
IDP form for GTU Innovation Sankul is required from GTU.
A Departmental meeting is scheduled as follows (for 6th Semester students) at 3.00 p.m. in BVM
