Innovation Sankuls at Vatva, Naroda and Gandhinagar make joint efforts to link each of their
pre-final year student to an industry for scouting for IDPs
A series of meetings were held involving all principals/directors of each of the 3 Sankul chaired
by Honorable VC, GTU and the corresponding Co-chairmen-Academia at GTU. Prof M. N.Patel,
Co-Chair-Academia ( Vatva Sankul), Prof M. R. Patel, Co-Chair-Academia ( Naroda Sankul) and
Prof. J.V.Dave , Co-Chair-Academia ( Gandhinagar Sankul) arranged meetings at GTU and
shared their action strategies to ensure each pre-final year student to be linked to an Industry
in this summer. Directors for Engineering, MBA, MCA, Pharmacy and Diploma eng have been
nominated for each of the Sankuls for better functioning of the Sankul keeping each vertical in
loop. Prof J. V. Dave and Prof M.R.Patel have segregated the work among each college
according to the branches. A handful of industry leaders participated in the meetings from each
of the Sankul and assured their full cooperation to the cause. Mr. Archish Shah, President Vatva
GIDC has extended his invitation to all colleges to his GIDC as it has got a large number of
industries in many disciplines. Similarly Mr. Shailesh Patwari, President Naroda Industry
Association has nominated 20 industry people from diversified backgrounds to ensure that each
of the pre final year student in the Sankul get linked to an Industry. Prof M. I. Vyas of LDCE has
been assigned the task of linking activities to Vatva industrial Zones by Prof M.N.Patel.
The above 3 Sankuls have banked upon the huge response and cooperation from students. It
was decided to involve HODs at Colleges and other academic experts, young faculty members
of each college, corresponding Udisha coordinators/student members for linking each of the
pre-final year students to locate a live industrial issue which the student will convert into
his/her final year project work. Prof Rupesh Vasani, Director ( Eng) of Naroda Sankul has been
assigned the task of linking the civil eng students of the Sankuls with industry members of
GICEA. GICEA has offered to link each of the students under its discipline to its member units
across the state. Mr. Dhaval Patel from Vatva Industry Association (VIA) has been assigned the
task to map the students and industries under the Sankul.
