Report on 2ND National Conference on Emerging Vistas of Technology in 21ST Century (NCEVT 2010) 4th & 5th December 2010 Parul Institute of Engineering & Technology, Limda organized a highly successful second National Conference on Emerging Vistas of Technology in 21st Century (NCEVT 2010) on 4th & 5th December 2010 The venue for inaugural function was newly constructed centrally air‐
conditioned auditorium of 410 seating capacity at Central Administrative Building of Parul Campus. The conference was largely attended and highly appreciated. Learned speakers from different parts of the country presented technical papers with rich content. In this conference around 200 delegates have participated and more than 250 papers received. There are total eight departments organizing NCEVT 2010 in their respective subjects as mentioned below. Departments of Master of Computer Applications, Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology: Current Trends in IT Department of Electrical Engineering: Advances in Power Electronics & Power System Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering: Embedded & Control systems Department of Civil Engineering: Emerging Trends in Civil Engineering Department of Mechanical Engineering: Futuristic Trends in Mechanical Engineering Department of Master of Business Administration: Contemporary Issues in Human Resource Management Objective of the conference is to provide chances and references to disseminate knowledge and information and generate further interest in delegates for innovation and invention. The conference was inaugurated at 10:30 am on 4th December 2010 by the Chief Guest, Dr. Akshai Aggarwal, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Gujarat technological University. Shri Aloke Kaul. Shri S. R. Kulkarni, Head, HR Department, L & T Power was invited Guest of Honour. Dr. Jayesh K. Patel – Chairman Parul Trust, Dr. Devanshu J. Patel – Managing Trustee, Parul Trust, Dr. B. J. Rathore – Campus Director, Parul Campus, Dr. Dipak Kumar De, Advisor, Prof. R. H. Pandya, Advisor were also remain present. Dr. Vilin Parekh welcomed all the dignitaries, speakers and delegates. He briefly introduced the activities of Parul Trust and achievements of Parul Institute Of Engineering & Technology in last 3 years. In his speech he told that NCEVT‐2010 is a National Conference where theory, practices and applications of different Engineering and Management related topics are to be presented and discussed by faculty members and research scholars across the country. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Akshai Aggarwal. His live interaction with delegates regarding How to improvise technical education in GTU impresses all present in the auditorium. Shri S. R. Kulkarni also gave his speech about opportuinities for engineers in the field. Total Six proceedings each one for one theme were released by Dr. Aggarwal and Shri Kulkarni.
