VISIT OF TCS FOR OFF CAMPUS DRIVE
Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology organized an OFF CAMPUS DRIVE for Tata
Consultancy Services Ltd. (TCS) on 28th August, 2010. 22 Delegates visited the Parul Campus on
that day which was a stepping stone for this college. Among them, we had people from HR
Department, Mr. Ashok Kolla, Lead – Talent Acquisition and Miss. Hima Shah, Executive – Talent
Acquisition from Gandhinagar, Gujarat and the rest were Technical members coming from both
Gandhinagar and Vadodara Offices.
For this drive, we got a fabulous response from all the students of the colleges located in and
around Vadodara. In total, 260 students participated in the drive. The selection procedure involved
an Online Written Test and 3 rounds of Interview (Technical, HR and Management Review). All
260 students went through the process which ended up late night at 11:00 PM. TCS finally selected
20 Best Candidates which were offered the package of 3.25 Lac/annum.

For the first time college got the opportunity by TCS to conduct the Drive, only because of
excellent infrastructure facility and competitive educational environment provided by the college
management. This was noticed by the TCS officials well and they forwarded the message to the HO
for the considering Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology for the accreditation process.
VISIT OF TCS FOR ACCREDITATION PROCESS
A team of the TATA Consultancy Services Ltd. (TCS) visited Parul Institute of Engineering and
Technology, Limda for the accreditation process on October 27, 2010 (Wednesday).
Four personnel’s from the TCS visited the Parul Campus on October 27, 2010. From HR
Department Mr. Ashok Kolla, Lead- Talent Acquisition and Mr. Surmaya Bhatt, Sr. Consultant,
Mr. Anomitra Das, Sr. Manager Human Resources, and Mr. Gunjan from TATA Consultancy
Services Ltd. (TCS),Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
During their visit they had a meeting with the management, Director, Principal, HODs, and Staff
Members & Students. They have seen all the infrastructure facilities and Library & Laboratory
Facility. They had extensive & lengthy session with staff members of Parul Institute whereby they
received a Fabulous Response in terms of Research Environment & No of Ph D Scholars. They also
had a very tough interaction with the students of various disciplines, whereby the students
responded about the finest of the academic facility & Research Facility provided by the institute.
The whole Accreditation Process was carried out very smoothly & at the end of the day, the
Delegates from the TCS were extremely happy & satisfied with all the Interaction, Hospitality &
Report Submission.

WE RECEIVED TCS ACCREDITATION
Based on interactions and assessment during the visit for the Accreditation process, TCS has finally
accredited Parul Institute of Engineering & Technology. The TCS Accreditation will help PIET to
have more fruitful association with TCS particularly for Campus recruitment of the students.
Henceforth, every year TCS would visit the college for Campus Recruitments and Placement.
For the year 2010-11, Parul Institute of Engineering & Technology conducted the Campus
recruitment process for Tata Consultancy Services on 3rd and 5th February, 2011. The first ever
Campus of TCS marked the history in addition to other stepping stones for this college.

The drive reported the presence of 124 students participating for the online written test. Out of
which 42 students cleared the test as per company’s cut off criteria. These students appeared for all
the 03 rounds of interview (Technical, HR and MR) which ended up late night at 10:00 P.M. TCS
finally selected 23 Best Candidates which were offered the package of Rs. 3.16 Lac/ Annum.

Conclusion:
The whole Accreditation Process was carried out very smoothly & at the end of the day, the
Delegates from the TCS were extremely happy & satisfied with all the Interaction,
Hospitality & Report Submission.
TCS Accreditation visit was termed excellent by the majority of company officials. Parul
Institute of Engineering & Technology has been accredited by TATA CONSULTANCY
SERVICES at the level ‘C’.
