ABOUNT LOK JAGRUTI KENDRA
LokJagrutiKendra(LJK), established in the
year 1982, is a charitable trust and a
registered society. Shri B. M Peerzada, a
prominent academician and the dean of
commerce faculty, Gujarat University, took
the challenge, to establish this trust. Today,
more than 17 institute like LJ MBA,LJ MCA,
LJ Pharmacy, LJ Engineering, LJ
Polytechnic, LJ Commerce, LJ BBA, LJ
BCA and LJ- IGNOU Center are functioning
under LJK. LJK has three campuses in
Ahmedabad: Vastrapur Campus, GNFC
Tower Campus, and SG Highway Campus.

B. E and MBA& MCA Degree of Gujarat
Technological University. The Institute also
offers post graduate programme in
Electronics & Communication Engineering
and plans to offer Post graduate and PhD
programmes in other disciplines in coming
years.
OBJECTIVE OF PROGRAMME
Data mining is also termed as knowledge
discovery. Data mining is the garnering of
useful patterns and terms from data sources,
such as texts, databases, and the internet. Data
mining is very important as various fields like
science, business and other areas deal with a
humungous amount of data. As these data
needs to be converted into meaningful content;
and that's where data mining come into the
picture. Many organizations all over have
recognized the importance of data mining and
have been using it to add a splurge to their
income. The proposed staff development
program (SDP) aims to enhance the
knowledge and capability of faculty and staff
participants and in turn will benefit the
students.
THEPROGRAMME
The two week AICTE sponsored and
approved SDP on “Data Mining” will be
conducted during 16 – 28 April, 2012.
