The TCS DAY EXTRAVAGENZA’12 was organised at PARUL INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING &
TECHNOLOGY under the auspices of TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES on 31st March’12,
Saturday. This propitious day was solely organised by the students recruited under TATA
CONSULTANCY SERVICES.
It was an honour to have
the delegates from TCS to
enlighten the event with
their presence. It actually
could be considered as a
grand fusion of institute
and corporate culture.
We were obliged to have MR. Nikhil Dabhole[Recruitment Head- Western Region], as our
honourable chief guest and Miss Arpana Kanojia[Recruitment Lead-Gujarat Region], as our
guest of honour who had
taken some precious time out
of their busy schedule to be
with us on the auspicious
occasion.

The event was themed under the title “The TATA group and its Timeline”
The event further got nourished with the presence of our Managing Trustee Dr.Devanshu
Patel with whose timely support; the execution of the event became possible.
This was an extravagant event that we organized to
provide our students a big platform to display their
talents which cannot be exhibited in a classroom in
the regular course of studies.
We at PARUL INSTITUTE believe in the strong relationship between Academic studies and cocurricular activities which are required in building up of a strong personality and unshakeable
character of a student.
In various events that took place, the participants had to compete and show their calibre in
various events like Selection Demystified, Consciousness, Ad – Reators, Quiz Climberz, Chasse
au Tresor. We believe that with such events students develop skills and qualities such as
Team Dynamics, Leadership, Discipline, Perseverance, etc.
They also learn to express themselves from the core of their heart. These things will help them
boost their self confidence and help them to be better communicators. The whole process will
leads them towards being better individuals ready to take up the reins of managing their
country effectively.
Hence it is our sincere effort to help our students in their academic and professional growth.
With about 600 participants, the event was a grand success.
The event commenced with the
welcome note by prof Amod Kolte
[Training & Placement Officer, PIET],
followed by an introductory speech
by our Principal Dr.Vilin Parekh.
The atmosphere was sanctified with a
zestful speech by our Managing
Trustee Dr.Devanshu Patel.
Further we had enlightening words of wisdom by our Chief Guest Mr.Nikhil Dabhole followed
by an inspirational seminar by him, throwing light upon TCS, it’s work area & their culture
there. It motivated the
students to strive hard to
get recruited under TCS.
