Tolani Foundation Gandhidham Polytechnic Alumni Association performed ARPAN
(ARPANVIDHI) of a seminar hall to Tolani F. G. Polytechnic in a function on 25 August
2012, the day celebrated as the 119th birth anniversary of Late Kaka Pribhdas Tolani, a
Visionary Philanthropist and the Founder of Tolani Vidya Mandir Campus at Adipur
(Kachchh).
As a token of gratitude to their alma-mater TFGP and a gesture of dedicated
appreciation for the efforts taken by late P.S. Tolani, the alumni association decided to gift
this facility to the college in April 2011 in the golden jubilee year of the college - and started
for the construction. The total cost of Rs. 20 lakhs for this fully air-conditioned hall was
borne by the alumni association. This hall is equipped with the latest audio-visual aids and
area admeasuring 2000 sqft and seating capacity 150 person. This is the third remarkable
instance of infrastructural additions by the institute alumni in the last five years.
The hall was inaugurated by Ms. Anjana Hazari (President, Gandhidham Collegiate
Board). Mrs. Nirmala Gajwani (former MLA and Chairperson of Sindhu Resettlement
Corporation), Mr. Dinesh Gupta (President, Gandhidham Chamber of Commerce) and Mr.
Manohar Belani (Trustee, Kandla Port Trust) were the guests of honor in the inaugural
function followed by a musical evening and dinner.
Present on the occasion were Mr H K Kripalani, Administrator, Gandhidham
Collegiate Board, Mr. Laxman Daryani, Campus Director, Gandhidham Collegiate Board,
Mr. N G Hiranandani, Principal, Mr. K.Venkateshwarlu, HOD(AM) & Ex Officio Alumni
Association, Mr. Mahadev Rajani, President Tolani Foundation Gandhidham Polytechnic
Alumni Association along with Mr. Kishore Makwana, Vice President, Mr. Hemnani,
Secretary, Mahadev Rajani welcomed the guest. Chief Guest Mrs. Anjana Hazari said that
the Alumni Association have not only financed the construction of hall but also work
heartedly with complete dedication and commitment. She honored Mr. Mahadev Rajani and
all managing committee members including Mr. K. Venkateshwarlu who all the time
coordinated the construction of Alumni Seminar Hall. Mr. Mahadev Rajani quoted that Mr.
N. G. Hiranandani feels that he is alumnus first than Principal as Principal’s post is temporary
till he is in job where as Alumnus is life time. All the staff members of the institute were
present with family. Alumni in large no. were also present with family.
Mr. Lalit Vidhani (Joint Secretary) conducted the whole programme and Mr. Kishor
Makwana proposed the vote of thanks.
