Continuing Innovative Technology Education
(CITE)
Gujarat Technological University (GTU) is the largest University in Gujarat catering to the
entire field of Engineering, Pharmacy, Business Studies (MBA Program) and Computer
Applications (MCA). GTU’s constant endeavor is towards the advancement of quality of
life, through its research and development work. GTU’s objective is to have education,
training and research of global standards. GTU has established close linkages with
industries for making its learning systems and research, at the university, relevant to the
needs of industries at national and international levels.
GTU’s Continuing Innovative Technology Education (CITE) wing is designed to serve
its alumni and industries through dynamic and multifaceted modes of practice oriented

As a part of this project, GTU will organize seminars, usually on the second or/ and the
fourth Saturday of a month, on the frontiers of technologies in some field. Top-most
experts from GTU along with the best of academicians and professionals from India as
well as from abroad, wherever required, will describe the best of available technologies
for use in the industries. They will give their opinion about the likely developments during
the next few years. This will be useful to the decision-makers in industries, academia and
the government. The GTU’s researchers will also be able to benefit from CITE. CITE
needs both Resource Persons (speakers) and participants for the proposed seminars.
Decision-makers from industries and outstanding technologists and researchers
are invited to register their name with brief abstract of their expertise at GTU’s
web-site as Resource Persons (speakers) and/ or as participants for the seminars.

The expertise/ field of interest may be from any specific area in any field of engineering
e.g. mechanical, automobile, instrumentation, electrical, electronics, communication,
computer, information, civil, chemical, environmental, textile engineering etc.
