ABOUT CONFERENCE:
In India, the hospitals are run by government, charitable
trusts and by private organizations. The government
hospitals in rural areas are called Primary Health
Centres (PHCs). Major hospitals are located in district
head quarters or major cities due to those lots of towns or
rural area facing the lots of problems to get proper
medical service or facilities while our 70 % of population
are residing in rural areas. Rural healthcare in India is
characterized by a huge gap between supply and
demand. Pharmacists have the potential to fill the gap
created due to shortage/unavailability of doctors and
nursing personnel in health facilities in rural areas. This
can be achieved through a policy initiative to redefine the
role of pharmacists in the Indian healthcare system So
based on the rules and regulations of Pharmacy Act
1948, Drugs and Cosmetic Act 1940 and Rules 1945 and
Indian Medical Council Act 1956, Future Pharmacists
Welfare Association (FPWA) Approved by GOVT OF
INDIA (Regd No: 0066/2012) designed a Unique Protocol
Named as “PHARMA CLINIC” is Legally accepted, Which
can overcome all the problems of Indian Pharmacy
Graduates. The traditional role of pharmacists is to
manufacture and supply medicines but the World Health
Organization
(WHO)
and
the
International
Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) says that Pharmacists
have an important role to play in health care, with greater
health demands, increasing complexity of medicines and
poor compliance, the pharmacist role has evolved into
a more patient centred approach which is much more
than selling medicines. On the basis of this conference,
we would like to provide the platform to deliberate of
the theme of conference for the interest of profession
and society at large.
