ABOUT GUJCOST
Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST) established in 1986 under Education
Department, Gujarat State. Gujarat Council on Science & Technology is functioning as an
autonomous society from Date 1-2-2000 under department of Science & Technology. The
GUJCOST-DST department mainly looks after the growth and development of new & emerging
technology areas and is responsible for formulation and implementation of key policies in
technological sector in the State of Gujarat.
ABOUT INSTITUTE
Shree H. N. Shukla Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (HNSIPER) was
established in the year of 2005, campus surrounded in 45 acres land on the bank of Lalpari Lake.
The institute is committed for imparting quality education by well qualified academically oriented
faculty through state–of–art facilities and continuous monitoring the student’s progress. The
cumulative impact of the efforts has bought success to the institute as many of its students have
occupied places in merit to ranker University. They have also fetched prize in poster presentation,
Sports and cultural activities at national level. The encouragement and guidance rendered by the
institute has enabled the students to transform their dreams into reality by achieving their targets.
Presently imparting B. Pharm and M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and
Quality Assurance, the institute has ambitious plans to establish Ph.D. research Center.
ABOUT SEMINAR
A one day seminar was organized for pharmacy students to bring them together on one platform
for interactions and exchange of views. During the events students can participate in Oral, Poster
and Models competitions.

This seminar covers the topics like basics of patent law, including strategies for avoiding common
pitfalls that can jeopardize the individual intellectual property rights. The presented Patent
Seminar was aimed towards creating Patent awareness, Patent Proficiency in India and also to
prepare the young technical and legal professionals in the country for facing, utilizing and
benefiting from the emerging Patents scenario in India as well as globally. The seminar also
included the conventional and recent strategies for the development of new pharmaceutical
formulation which helps the participants to develop an insight in applied research.
Eminent personalities from industries were delivered their knowledge and information through
lecturer and discussion on focused topics. The Presented seminar also gave an opportunity to
Student and Researchers to interact with industry experienced experts to update their knowledge.
This seminar was intended for students, researcher and other delegates coming from different field
of pharmaceutical sciences including industries and academia.
