Introduction India has become an established hub for clinical research since last decade. The Ministry of Health and Family Healthcare has taken some big steps recently for streamlining the conduct of clinical research in India, and for safeguarding the rights, safety and well – being of research participants through changes in the Drugs & Cosmetics Act 1945.
