Two Week Faculty Development Programme nn Newer Perspectives In Clinical Research organized by Sarvajanik Pharmacy College,Mehsana

Introduction
India has become an established hub for clinical
research since last decade. The Ministry of Health and
Family Healthcare has taken some big steps recently for
streamlining the conduct of clinical research in India,
and for safeguarding the rights, safety and well – being
of research participants through changes in the Drugs &
Cosmetics Act 1945. As an active member of healthcare
team in clinical research, pharmacist ought to be aware
of different GCP guidelines in letter and spirit and their
role in various aspects of clinical trials. It is also
essential to address the need of sharing interdisciplinary
knowledge with pharmacists and other health
professionals and to develop a common understanding
of ethical principles, necessary for research on human
subjects. The endeavor of this programme is to make
significant contributions to this cause.
With an aim to train pharmacy teachers on
contemporary issues in clinical research, Shri
Sarvajanik Pharmacy College, Mehsana in association
with Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad is
organizing a two week faculty development programme
on “Newer Perspectives in Clinical Research”
sponsored by AICTE, New Delhi from 3rd July to 16th July
