SUMMARY REPORT
Anand Pharmacy College is having Indain Pharmaceutical Association- Anand branch of Gujarat
state celebrated National Pharmcay Week from 6th Jan to 11th Jan-2014 at APC campus.
Every year the Indaina Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) celebrates the „National Pharmacy
Week‟ (NPW) all over India in the third week of November. IPA has been recommending that
the activities and celebrations based on the theme should continue the whole year round, with
enthusiasm and zeal. This will help us to give more time to our efforts, and also sustain it round
the year. The theme was: “PHARMACIST: A HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL”.
Students actively participated and the whole National Pharmacy Week was coordinated by Dr.
Kalpana Patel, Dr. Vaishali Thakkar and Ms. Veena Patel.
(1) AWARENESS PROGARM IN NEAERBY SCHOOLS
Anand Pharmacy College also conducted an Awareness Program in nearby schools of
Anand as a part of NPW celebration. Some of the topics covered were: What is
Pharmacy? , Pharmacy origin in India, What do you think PHARMACIST are? , Patient
Information etc.

1 ARTICLE WRITING COMPETITION:
A real test of English, Grammar and
Creative thinking, a very tough
combination to judge on! Our topic was
Pharmacist: A Healthcare Professioal.
Number of students had wits to
participate but only two had to be
selected, those who could strike the
right Cord had to be the best of lot.
2 RANGOLI COMPETITIONS:
A war of thoughts willing to be
expressed in form of colors, hence
needed a delicate yet confident pair of
hand to give full justice to the thoughts.

Some students had prepared rangoli with the help
of waste material. Students showed the roll of
pharmacist through colors. They also showed how
pharmacist aware public about various diseases,
rational use of drugs, products available in market
for smoking cessation, hospital pharmacy etc.
3 POSTER PRESENTATIONS:
As with all communication, which is an art form, there is no single recipe for success. There are
many alternative. Creative ways to display and convey scientific information pictorially. More
often than not, an iconoclastic approach will revile and repel, rather than amaze and astound.

4 E-LEAFLET MAKING:
Individuals might have many different reasons to
make a leaflet or other piece of literature for
printed distribution. Making leaflets, brochures and
pamphlets is something people often do when they
are starting a small business. Students had made
leaflets for an awareness campaign of National
Pharmacy Week celebration.
5 SLOGAN COMPETITIONS:
A slogan is a memorable motto or phrase used in a
political, commercial, religious, and other context
as a repetitive expression of an idea or purpose.
Wonderful slogans were created by students to
encourage pharmacy profession.
6 QUIZ COMPETITIONS:
Only War that spreads knowledge…… tough minds battles with each other only to display the
Superior IQ Level of self compared to the rest. Quiz Competition had six rounds
