CSI, Surat chapter is one of the old chapters of CSI in the state of Gujarat. The
chapter has professionals from various industries in addition to academicians. It
has 3 student branches, and are very active in conducting programs for the
benefits of the students. Under its reputed banner, it has a rich history of
organizing many activities individually as too in association with other agencies
like IEI, NIT (Surat) and NASSCOM.

About the College
Narmada College of Computer Application (NCCA), Bharuch is an excellent
example of industry institute interface. The college established in the year 1999
is an initiative of professional management of Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers
Corporation Limited (GNFC) and is managed by Narmada Education &
Scientific Research Society (NEST). A beautiful natural campus in 16 acres of
land has been developed over this period of time on the bank of river Narmada,
Zadeshwar on National Highway No. 8, 6 kms from the historical city of
Bharuch. The institute is self financed, approved by AICTE, New Delhi and
affiliated with Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad.
About the Course
The course is intended to bring awareness regarding the concepts of Intellectual
Property Rights (IPR) like Trade Mark, Copyright, Patent and Trade Secret, to
name a few. In addition to understanding various concepts and their significance,
it is also intended to encourage and motivate the audience to own such IPR.
The course will also discuss IT Act (ITA) 2000 and its amendments. The legal
perspectives of both IPR and ITA like their provisions, contraventions and
punishments will be discussed with interesting case studies. The course is
intended for an audience of Any Stream and comprising of faculties and students
from PG/UG/Polytechnic colleges as well as participants from industry. All the
participants will be awarded with the Participation Certificate.
Registration
In order to cover the working expenses for the One Week STTP, a fees of Rs.
1000/- per participant is required towards registration. Registration Fees include
charges for Programme Kit, Lunch and Snacks & Tea. Payment can be made
either in cash or preferably through DD/Cheque drawn in favor of “Narmada
College of Computer Application”, payable at Bharuch. The back side of
DD/Cheque should bear the name of applicant along with the institution name.
Fees once paid, will be non-refundable but transferable. Photocopies of the
Registration Form will also be accepted. The Registration Form and e-Brochure
of the event can also be downloaded from the following URL:
www.ncca.ac.in/sttp2014.html. The Registration Forms completely filled in all
respects along with DD/Cheque can be sent to above mentioned address. Kindly
superscribe the envelope with “Registration Form for STTP”. The completed
Registration Forms with DD/Cheque Details can also be sent through email to
[email protected], to make the registration process smooth and fast. As the
number of seats is limited, the registrations will be accepted on “First Come First
Served” basis. The last date for the registration is 03-Mar-2014.
