To add something more to theoretical knowledge, cultural and sports festivals are organized by colleges and Gujarat Technological University (GTU). G.T.U. organizes sports (SPIRIT) and cultural (XITIJ) festivals every year to give a competitive platforms to students for various co-curricular activities. About SPCE: Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering was established in 1999 by Nootan Sarva Vidhyalay Kelvani Mandal (NSVKM)-Visnagar with mision “SPCE is functioning to achieve and fulfil the demand of the present time through conception, escalation, and upholding dissemination of technical knowledge with human values. Also, we believe that through education, learning and research we can lead the forthcoming generation to the highest summit of evolutionary journey of mankind” The Institute is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad. And also it is approved by All India Council for Technical Education AICTE, New Delhi. The NSVKM established in 1952 with objective of working towards educational and socio-cultural needs for the people of North Gujarat. The mission of the trust is “In all its activities the Trust’s mission is to support the all-round development of all its members, students and staff alike, while acting as a platform where they find promising and bright career opportunities and achieve career goals and life ambitions. The last page of this brochure contains list of all institutes run under the trust. XITIJ – 2014 The Gujarat Technological University (GTU) holds youth festival every year. Youth Festivals are organized at zonal level. There are five zones under university viz. 1) Ahmedabad 2) Gandhinagar, 3) V V Nagar, 4) Rajkot, and 5) Surat zones. Finaly Inter-Zonal competition is organized at university level. It’s our immense pleasure to inform you that in current academic year 2014-15, SANKALCHAND PATEL COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, VISNAGAR is going to host a GTU's Youth Festival, Gandhinagar Zone “XITIJ-2014” during 17th – 19th September, 2014.
