Report on GTU fund for uttarAKHAND

An Appeal
Due to a natural calamity, thousands of lives have been lost in Uttarakhand
and many families have been shattered in June 2013. The age-old four
‘dhams’ have suffered major damages. Dr. Akshai Aggarwal ,
Vice-Chancellor of GTU had appealed all the employees, faculties and entire
community of GTU to come forward and contribute so that life in the area
can be rebuilt.
Collecting the Donation
Many employees of GTU donated their 1 day salary for this noble cause.
Professor B. M. Peerzada had offered that L.J. Trust will take the first step by
contributing a sum of Rs. 1 lakh for the GTU fund, which was submitted as
promised. Many other institutes collected fund from students & faculties of
their institutes and contributed.
Chief Minister’s Fund for Uttarakhand.
The amount will be deposited in the Gujarat Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for
Uttarakhand.
