Engineering and Technology, Rajkot under
GTU Open Source Technologies Club (OSTC)
GTU has introduced Open Source Technology Club initiative for all the GTU affiliated colleges in
collaboration with Spoken Tutorial Project-IIT Bombay. To take the benefit of this opportunity we
had established Open Source Technologies Club (OSTC) at our institute.

Open Source Technologies Club (OSTC)
B. H. Gardi College of Engineering & Technology had organized workshop with help of IIT-Bombay
Spoken Tutorial team on C & C++ for 5th Semester Electronics & Communications (EC)
Students on 25th September, 2013 Wednesday. Total 35 students have actively participated in
workshop.
IITB Expert was available online through skype during the workshop. She had explained the aim and
importance of Open Source Software and Technologies through Skype. Then Students had carefully
watched and listened video of C and C++ which were already installed in their machines.
At the end of Workshop Expert from IIT-B had given brief overview of C and C++ with its importance
in professional life.

We are thankful to GTU and IITB Spoken tutorial team for staring such a nice initiative of Open
Source Technologies Club.
I would like to express my gratitude towards Prof. S. B. Jadeja, (Executive Director) Patron, OSTC
Club, for establishing OSTC Club in Institute.
I am thankful to Prof. C. D. Parmar (HOD, EC) for allowing us to arrange workshop for EC Department
Students.
