Sir,
We are pleased to inform you that the Board of Sports of GTU, Ahmedabad has entrusted the
responsibility of organizing the prestigious 1st Athletics Meet (Men & Women) of Gujarat
Technological University, Ahmedabad for the year 2013-14. Competition will be held from 21 st to 23th
October 2013 at Sports Authority of India, Gandhinagar.
On behalf of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor and the Organizing Committee, I heartily invite the
students of GTU affiliated colleges to participate in the 1st Athletics Meet (Men & Women).

Note: The events will be conducted as per the rules of Athletics Federation of India
Reception: Participating teams shall intimate to the Convener for Registration at SAI, Gandhinagar.
Accommodation:
1. The teams will be not provided accommodation. Accommodation will be managed by
participating college.
2. Food pass is compulsory for breakfast and lunch for all teams. Institutes have to deposit necessary
food charge for their respective college.
Reporting and registration will be held at the venue on 20th October 2013 at 3.00 PM to onwards
Meeting of the Managers: The Meeting of the Managers will be held at the SAI 7.00 PM on 20th October
2013
Eligibility: Two Copies of the Eligibility Performa duly signed by the Principal shall have to be handed
over to the Convener – Registration Committee on arrival.
Opening Ceremony
: The teams should participate in the Inaugural Ceremony with their
Colleges Flags on 21 st October 2013 at 8.00 am at Sports
Authority of India Ground, Gandhinagar
General Instructions:
1.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to make changes in the programme, Venue and Order of
Events if necessary. The decision of the organizing Committee shall be final and binding to all.
2.
Teams shall make their own arrangements for their Boarding.
3.
The Team managers are requested to co-operate with the organizing Committee.
4.
A document of players and eligibility is compulsory requirement for the smooth Conduct of the tournament.
